Alpha

Alpha
Location: Main Hall
The Alpha program is a course that allows people to explore the validity and relevance of Christianity in a friendly, informal environment. Over a light meal, the Christian faith is explored with opportunities for open discussion and debate.
Alpha is an 11-week course which includes an excursion involving a weekend away. Each get-together begins with a meal, followed by the viewing of a Nicky Gumbel video tape. Small discussion groups are then formed to give people the chance to freely discuss particular issues.
Although the Alpha program is designed to let people explore Christianity, it also gives people the chance to make long lasting relationships. With regular weekly meetings, people are given the chance to get to know each other and share meaningful thoughts and discussions.
Alpha is aimed at new Christians, newcomers to the Church, or those wanting to investigate Christianity. Catering for people with questions about life, Alpha is also a way to find out about what Christianity is all about. For the more matured Christian, Alpha helps to brush-up on the basics, reasserting the basic Christian values.
There are no costs involved with participating in the Alpha program except for a donation towards the cost of the food and the weekend away.
