Meet our Senior Pastors
Pastors Luis and Alexandra Cabral have been in full time ministry for more than 25 years, having served as missionaries, evangelists and pastors, in different parts of the world.
They took their first steps in ministry in the eighties, in Portugal, during a time of great revival. They served on staff at a church that grew to thousands in only a few years. At the start of the nineties, they moved to Africa as missionaries and worked alongside a well-known international evangelist, witnessing crowds of more than 200,000 people at meetings and great miracles. The same missionary organization also fed the hungry and helped the poor. They travelled extensively throughout Africa, teaching and preaching, often in war zones, Ebola infested areas and witnessing first-hand the many hardships and tragedies so often associated with that continent.
While in Africa, they also served as Senior Pastors of a Church in Johannesburg, South Africa. Ps. Luis Cabral was also the director of the Benoni Bible School and the host of a radio program in a Christian Radio Station.
When they moved their ministry base to New Zealand, Luis and Alexandra started ministering regularly in countries like the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, India, China, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Panama and Australia, while still involved with Africa, assisting churches in Mozambique (they have since ministered in many more countries, covering every continent).
In New Zealand, they worked with the General Superintendent of the AOG for 6 years, while also serving at Harbourside Church. They served on the boards of several national Bible Colleges and lectured in a number of them. They also started Word in Season Ministries, a non-profit organization created to serve and equip churches, leaders and pastors in developing countries.
Luis and Alexandra have featured on TV programs such as Life Today with James Robinson (USA), on Shine TV (New Zealand), Hosanna Vision (Panama) and others.
The Cabrals are ordained ministers through the International Federation of Christian Churches (South Africa), the Assemblies of God, and Australian Christian Ministries.
Pastor Luis Cabral is also a published author of 3 books, several manuals and articles in national and international publications. He started by studying Law at the Lisbon Classical University and he now also holds a Doctorate of Ministry. Pastor Alexandra Cabral was a School teacher and a professional musician. She has also earned several theological degrees: Associate Degree in Theology, Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology.
